November 25, 2012 - What Is It Like to Be the King?

On this Sunday, on which we celebrate Christ as King, our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms, asks the children what it would be like to be the king with a reminder of how we should respond to our King.

November 18, 2012 - The Very Best Pill Is the 'Gos' Pill (Gospel)

On this Sunday before Thanksgiving, one of our Associate Pastors, the Rev. Erica Cooper, shared from her medicine cabinet. She reminded the children that the best thing in life is the gospel, or good news, about Jesus and how He can change our lives.

November 11, 2012 - Celebrating Special People and Giving Thanks to God

On this Veteran's Day, we, at First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia, chose to not only honor our Veteran's, but also, our Senior Adults. Mrs. Glenda Blackstock, one of our members talked with our children about celebrating special people and giving thanks to God for them.

November 4, 2012 - The Good News of No More Dying in Heaven

On this Sunday which follows All Saints Day, we at First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia, choose to use the occasion as a Christian Memorial Day to celebrate the lives of those of our loved ones who have died, especially within the past year. Our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms, helps relate this on child's level.
