January 23, 2011 - Different Types of Christian Music

On this Sunday, January 23, 2011, we had a guest speaker, Dr. Jon Duncan, Music Specialist with the Georgia Baptist Convention, preaching on Discovering Biblical Worship. In coordination with this theme, our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms, talked with the children about the different types of Christian music using the term "genre." Four examples were included: classical, hymn, rap, and contemporary.

January 16, 2011- What It Takes to Be a Witness

On this Sunday, our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms, talked to the children about being a witness for Jesus and how they can tell others about Him.

January 9, 2011 - New Year's Resolutions

On this Sunday, Tex (a.k.a. Dr. Michael Helms, our pastor) talks to the children about New Year's Resolutions, especially a resolution to join with our whole church during Lent in listening through the New Testament in 40 days.

January 2, 2011 - Times of Celebration

On this second Sunday of Christmas, as we celebrate both Christmas and New Year's, our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms, leads the children in a celebration of the first anniversary of our Youth Pastor, Justin Safley, and our Minister to Families, Erica Cooper.
