On this afternoon, our church, the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia, was having our very first Blessing of the Animals service. In order to promote this event and share with the children the importance of animals, and especially pets, in God's creation and in our families, our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms had a special 'guest' to visit with the children.

On this Sunday, which opened our annual Vacation Bible School, we once again had an Inter-generational Worship Experience (formerly called Family Worship Service). Because the nature of this worship service provides a wide range of experiences for the entire family, we do not have a Happy Club specifically for the children.

Today, our church family shared in what we call a Family Worship Experience. With involvement and leadership from almost every age group, it is a different type of service from our regular worship. Because the service as a whole is more family friendly, we did not include a Happy Club on this particular Sunday.

God not only is the Creator of all that there is, but He also knows every detail of our lives - the wonderful doctrine of God's omniscience.
