June 26, 2011 - The Dangers of Being Too Busy
What approach did Jesus take to life? What approach would Jesus take to life? Would He be tied up with email, blogs, text messaging, cell phones, computers, mp3 players, tablets, etc.? Perhaps He would use these for spreading His love, but He often chose solitude and reflection.
Today, Dr. Michael Helms, our pastor, demonstrates to the children the dangers of being too busy with the abundance of technology, and not spending time with others and with God.
There is no Happy Club from the 8:30 a.m. worship service.

June 5, 2011 - The Meaning of Compassion
As our church, the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia, is working through the process of determining our vision for the future, we are seeking to recognize our core values. One of those core values that we recognize as being at the heart of Jesus' ministry was compassion. Today, Dr. Michael Helms, our pastor, talks with the children about the meaning of compassion.

May 29, 2011 - Tribute to Our Veterans
On this Sunday before Memorial Day, our pastor, Dr. Michael Helms, talked with the children about those men and women who served in the United States military down through the years. One of the issues that he raised was that hatred of others can be changed by knowing someone personally who was once considered an enemy.
This is the 8:30 Happy Club. Unfortunately, the 11:00 Happy Club is not available.
